Australian Code of Practice on Disinformation and Misinformation Review
OVERVIEW
Have your say in the 2025 review of the ACPDM
Signatories are dedicated to continual improvement of the Code. As part of this, DIGI conducts periodic reviews to consider public and stakeholder feedback on how the Code works and what it applies to. In 2025, we are undertaking a planned review of the Code and are seeking views through public consultation. You can read more about the 2022 review of the Code here.
If you have any questions, you can contact us at hello@digi.org.au.
Discussion Paper
To share your views on the ACPDM with DIGI, download and respond to the questions in this Discussion Paper. The questions consider the scope and potential improvements to the code.

Consultation is open from 30 September – 3 November 2025.
This Discussion Paper has been prepared by the Digital Industry Group Inc. (DIGI) to assist public consultation for the 2025 review of the Australian Code of Practice on Disinformation and Misinformation (ACPDM). The ACPDM, a self-regulatory code developed by DIGI, has been adopted by major companies including Adobe, Apple, Google, Meta, Microsoft, Redbubble, TikTok, and Twitch. The current review of the Code will be comprehensive, examining the scope of the ACPDM and potential improvements to the code’s governance and oversight. We encourage stakeholders to this review to consider the challenges inherent in regulating misinformation and disinformation.
If you have prepared a response to the Discussion Paper, you can submit it to DIGI using the form below. DIGI will consider feedback received and share updates on next steps.
