Sunita Bose

DIGI’s Managing Director

DIGI is led by Sunita Bose, who is its Managing Director. Sunita Bose was previously the Head of Global Policy for the online petition platform Change.org, based in San Francisco. She developed the company’s Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, Community Guidelines and policy infrastructure to manage harmful user-generated content, in areas such as bullying, hate speech, defamation, misinformation, data privacy and child protection. Before that, Sunita spent seven years working in a range of international and Australian advocacy and strategic communications roles at humanitarian aid agencies Oxfam and UNICEF, and has a Masters of Policy from the University of New South Wales. A leading advocate for the tech sector and the democratising power of the Internet, Sunita sits on the Government’s Digital Experts Advisory Committee and her opinions have been published in The Australian, The Sydney Morning Herald and The Guardian.

Dr Jennifer Duxbury

Director of Regulatory Affairs, Policy & Research

Dr Duxbury is a senior legal professional and policy advisor with over 20 years of international experience spanning private and public sector legal practice, corporate governance, government regulation and education.

Dr Duxbury has held General Counsel roles at Reuters Limited, Airservices Australia, Lonely Planet and ninemsn. Jenny has recently completed a PhD in public policy at the Institute of Governance and Policy Analysis, University of Canberra, where she also teaches graduate programs in law and business administration.

She led the drafting of the Australian Code of Practice for Disinformation and Misinformation for DIGI.

Tahlia Davies

Policy & Communications Manager

Tahlia is DIGI’s Policy and Communications Manager, developing and implementing strategies to amplify DIGI’s advocacy across a range of issues related to technology and the digital industry.

Prior to DIGI, Tahlia was a member of the Public Policy team for Twitter Australia and New Zealand, where she managed and expanded Twitter’s portfolio of philanthropic and government partnerships. In this role, she also contributed to Twitter’s full range of policy work on issues including online safety, civic integrity, privacy and social impact.

Prior to Twitter, she worked for five years in technology and policy communications, running campaigns for international technology companies, startups in both Australia & New Zealand, and government agencies building the capacity of the Trans-Tasman tech sector.

Tahlia graduated from University College London with BA English, Honours and is currently undertaking a Master of Public Policy at University of Sydney, which she expects to complete in late 2023.
